How does the PIXEL-8 work?
Like traditional Microneedling, the PIXEL-8 is performed using a handheld device that pierces the skin with 64 sterile gold needles rapidly, causing micro trauma. Once the needles pierce the skin, Radio Frequency energy is delivered deep into the dermis, causing this layer to heat and tighten. When we are creating these micro traumas to the skin, it promotes a quicker and more abundant collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid response than just using needles alone. This response creates faster and more dramatic results!
Healing and Downtime
Unlike CO2 and Erbium lasers, the PIXEL-8 Radio Frequency laser requires no downtime. Once the treatment is completed, you will leave with a red, sun burnt feeling to the area(s) treated. After a few hours, it will fade to a light pink, and in many cases it will look as though you have had nothing done to your skin. Easy to follow post care instructions will be sent following your appointment.
